Spell Checker

Instructions on loading up and activating your ValBiz Spell Checker

From ValBiz Version 6 you can now activate a spell checker by downloading the Dictionary File and by following the instructions below.

Once installed and operational you can activate the ValBiz spell checker by clicking in any text field and pressing F5 key.

For spell checking to work you need to first load in a dictionary file.  This dictionary is a list of words with a New Zealand focus.

This file will download as a *.zip file.  You must save this to a location on your computer/network and unzip the content before attempting to load into ValBiz.

To load this dictionary into ValBiz you must be logged into ValBiz as an Administrator level user. 

Select the File Menu / Administrative Utilities / Spell Check then select load spell check words.  Point the navigational path towards the NZ dictionary file that you have downloaded to your computer/network (above) and load this file in.

You are completed and ready to use !

To spell check any text box in ValBiz simply click into the text field and press F5, the spell check dialog comes up.  This cycles through all of the words that are detected as misspelt and offers suggestion, manual replacement, ignore or add to dictionary.

The Photo and Document Manager is a licensable add on to ValBiz™ Professional or ValBiz™ Analyst or ValBiz™ Enterprise. It enables you to store documents or files of any type within the ValBiz database.

All file types can be stored inside the property record, the client record or the debtor and job records (within Enterprise) for space saving and quick retrieval by anyone within the company or by staff working remotely, (i.e. from home or in the field). Files stored could include electronic Certificate of Title's, valuation reports, photos or scanned documents, digital dictations, pdf's, bitmaps, digitally captured floor plans, anything.

A simple right mouse click function enables entire folders and all their contents to be saved into the Document Manager, (great for mapping over historic information).

Any number of digital photos can be stored with the Photo Manager against the property record and each can have a comment and time stamp placed against them. Photo's have a right mouse click copy to clipboard option.

Any document or file opened to edit has an audit trail created noting which user changed the document or file and when they did it. We believe the following efficiencies can be introduced with the document and photo manager:

• Improve consistency across your brand, (i.e. what did your colleague value the neighbour's property at last week and what did they say)
• Having all documentation a mouse click away speeds up resolution of customers queries
• Cut back on your physical storage space, (save a paper copy if you wish but archive them out of the office)
• Improve security as a record of the user who made any document changes is recorded
• All documents and files are backed up when your ValBiz system is backed up

Work from home or in the field, all you need is a free ValBiz thin client installed on your laptop or home computer and you can access not only the ValBiz property and sales data but can also access a full set of relevant company documentation.

We are currently trialing the Report Writer at two client sites, have a look at the walk through movie (link above) to see this feature in use.

There will be more walk through movies available in the near future that will show you how to build your own Report Writer templates and thes will show how to add, amend or remove sections, lists, commonly used text, photos, maps etc to your own templates.  There is NO restriction to the number of templates you can have.

The Report Writer module is only available to ValBiz Enterprises users.  Firstly we get you logging jobs and invoicing (if required) then we introduce you to the Report Writer functionality. 

A single user license will add $600pa + GST to your annual maintenance, additional $1200pa + GST for two users and an additional $1800pa + GST for larger users.

You may build your own Report templates or commission Headway to do this for you.

Appraisal Generator - ** Now Provided Free of Charge **

 

The team at Headway Systems Ltd have now bundled the Appraisal Generator into ValBiz™ Analyst or ValBiz™ Enterprise. It enables you to use previously analysed data to build appraisals faster than ever.

Analysis records are gathered together beneath the comprehensive search capabilities of the properties Comparable Data button. The apportionment tables of the selected analysis can then be expanded out on screen and users can shopping trolley their way through analyses selecting the elements they believe best suit the target property. These assembled analysis elements can then be manually modified i.e. sizes or rates changed, and the resultant total provides the Valuer with not only a Valuation figure but also a saved record of the means and market evidence they used to calculate it.

Of course the analysis make up and final figures can be extracted directly into a Word or Excel report.
